Dear Friends and Subscribers to the ADC in Asia daily newsletter!
I hope this note finds you all well. I wanted to give you an update on my plans and ask for your input.
When I launched ADC in Asia three years ago, it was an attempt to help me understand more about China and its role in the world as an emerging political and economic power; I wanted to see if it was true, that a rising tide raises all ships and to see what impact the country’s growth would have on all of the APAC countries, and I wanted to share the stories that I found the most insightful, the news that went beyond the headlines showcased in Western media—print, online or on-air.
My time is winding down in Asia now, as due to the protests and the pestilence, it has become economically unfeasible to remain in Hong Kong.
That said, my globe-hopping adventures are not ending. My husband and I are repatriating to Ireland, my childhood home.
With that in mind, I wanted to ask you, my subscribers, a couple of questions.
Seeing that I will no longer be living in Hong Kong, I am thinking of closing the ADC in Asia newsletter and converting it to the ADC in the EU.
Would this be something you would be interested in reading?
Your participation in a short poll would be incredibly helpful. Please, follow the link to my GoogleDocs poll and let me know what you would like to see me do moving forward with my daily weekday newsletter.
It’s been an incredible opportunity for me to live and work in Hong Kong and China these last three-and-a-half years; we’ve traveled the region and made wonderful friends, something we hope to rekindle and replicate once we set up shop in Ireland.
I look forward to hearing from you, thank you again for all your support.
Please, if you’re so inclined, the poll is available here.
